PLEASE NOTE:  This play is not a documentary depiction of Edith’s life, rather it seeks to dramatize the various conflicts she faced: spiritually, psychologically, and temporally. The Nazis in the play are fictional characters intended to symbolize and embody the Nazi threat and Edith’s struggle against it.  Nevertheless, every attempt has been made by the playwright to select key moments from Edith’s life and to faithfully portray her essential nature.

Recommended for adolescent audiences and older.

What audiences are saying about “Edith Stein”:

Edith Stein was amazing. I brought my 13 year old son so that he would understand what people thought and felt during the Holocaust. The play opened up discussion about what one might do to grow intellectually so that they may make a difference in the world. The actors were so believable that my son felt like he was really there.

They were correct in describing it as a moving drama. Towards the end, it was very intense causing me to shed a few tears. The actors were great, and I thought the play was impressive.

“The acting was great for such a small, start up theatre.”
